What we collect, what we do not, and what you can do about it.

This policy explains what Crema & Grind (cremaandgrind.com) collects when you use the site, why, and what you can do about it. Questions go to info@cremaandgrind.com.
The short version
- We do not ask you to create an account, and there is nothing to log in to.
- We collect analytics about how the site is used, through Google Analytics.
- We collect what you send us through the contact form, and use it only to reply and to correct the site.
- Affiliate links set cookies at the retailer, not here, when you click through to buy.
- We do not sell data, and there is no advertising network on this site.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people move through the site. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring site, and interactions such as clicking a buy button.
We use this to decide what to write next and to find pages that are not working. We do not use it to identify individuals, and we do not attempt to.
Google acts as a data processor for this and operates its own privacy policy. You can opt out across all sites using Google's browser add-on, and most browsers offer tracking protection that also blocks it.
Affiliate links
When you click a buy button, you pass through a redirect on our domain that adds our affiliate tag, and then arrive at the retailer. The retailer typically sets a cookie so that a purchase can be attributed to us.
That cookie is set by the retailer under its own privacy policy, not by us, and we do not receive information about what you browse or buy there. We receive aggregate commission reporting only. Full detail on how the links work is in our affiliate disclosure.
The contact form
If you send us a message we receive your name, email address, whatever subject line you supply and the message itself. We use these to reply to you and, where you have reported an error, to correct the site.
Messages are delivered by email through Microsoft Graph and stored in the mailbox they arrive in. We do not add contact-form addresses to any mailing list, because there is no mailing list.
The form also records the time it was loaded and applies a per-address rate limit, both purely as anti-spam measures. Those are used to reject automated submissions and nothing else.

This site sets no advertising cookies of its own, carries no ad network, and does not operate a cross-site advertising profile.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal data. There is no arrangement under which that could happen.
- We do not run advertising networks or behavioural retargeting.
- We do not have user accounts, so there is no profile attached to you here.
- We do not send marketing email. There is no newsletter and no list.
Retention
Contact-form messages are kept as long as they are useful for answering you and maintaining a record of corrections, and are deleted when they are not. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings and is aggregated rather than tied to an identity.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Because we hold very little - essentially only contact-form correspondence - these requests are usually straightforward. Write to info@cremaandgrind.com and we will action it.
You can also control analytics at the browser level, which is faster than asking us: most browsers offer tracking protection, and Google provides an opt-out add-on that works across all sites.
Children
This site is aimed at adults buying coffee equipment. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we would delete it if we became aware of any.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of the page changes with it.
